We love receiving adopter updates!! Just received this video from Justin's adopters! ๐
๐ Justin arrived at the Charles City Animal Shelter in July 2019. He was not receiving any inquiries, so in Oct. 2019 we brought him to our family. Justin was so sweet, but big! Then in May 2020 the Hofmeister couple came, met him and fell in love with him! Justin is living the high life in Virginia Beach, getting plenty of love and playtime! ... See MoreSee Less

Introducing sweet senior Seline. This gentle girl was picked up by Charles City County Animal Control and brought to the CC Shelter with obvious visual impairment and level 2 emaciated.
We took her to animal eye care specialists and our veterinarian. Seline is blind due to past retinal detachments resulting from high blood pressure. She will never regain vision, but we believe she may see some shadows. Seline also has hyperthyroidism for which she is now on Thyroid medication. High Blood pressure medication is also helping to keep her blood pressure in check, and retinas healthy (albiet full vision will never return).
We do not know her history, but it had to have been a difficult life for her. She is now in one of our foster homes. Seline survived her past, and is now loving life knowing she is safe. Once she understood her environment, she easily gets around the house, loves laying on the couch or a warm lap.
Seline is now needing a forever loving, caring and patient home. ๐งก Anyone interested in providing a loving forever home for Seline, email us catdogheaven1@gmail.com. ... See MoreSee Less

If anyone is wondering about having a blind cat. I have Stevie who I got when he was 4 weeks old and abandoned. He is no different than any other cat, His hearing is amazing! I had to fix a squeaky door, he would listen for the squeak and run out the door. other cats do not seem to warm up to him is the only issue I have had.
