A Taste of Heaven Sanctuary is a non-profit all-volunteer organization helping homeless cats and dogs in Charles City County, Virginia.
We assist the Charles City County Municipal Animal Shelter, Virginia by paying for cats & dogs spay/neuter prior to adoption. Since 2017 to Oct. 2021 we have paid for 41 dogs & 44 cats spay/neuter!!! In addition have provided the CCC Shelter animal domains with enrichments including: Elevated Coolaroo and Karunda Dog Beds; X-Large Cat Kennels; Outside Dog Courtyard; Cat & Dog Toys, Treats; And More!! Thanks to our donors, as of October 2021 we have expended over $11,000 assisting furry friends at the Charles City County Municipal Shelter to help advance their adoption to forever homes!
Our Sanctuary is located on 30 acres. Over the years we have welcomed into our home many cats and dogs.
Our furry family currently includes:
- MayGo Hound Haven. Includes 5 senior hounds (7+ years old).
- Kitty City. Cat complex that includes an enclosed housing section and a Cat Cottage as a central gathering for all our free roamer cats. Currently we have 42 cats.
When we look into the eyes of an animal; whether it be domestic, wild, amphibian, bird, fish, mammal or reptile, we do not see an animal.
We see a living being, a soul.
